We are a locally owned and operated small business. A native of Blairsville, GA, Darren Hughes has been an entrepreneur  in Union County since graduating from high school in 1998. His wife Crystal, from Hayesville, NC, has worked for Union General Hospital for over 25 yrs and has always been a huge part of the family businesses. Their two amazing kids, Addison and TJ,  are dedicated, hard working young adults with a love for the outdoors. TJ is a fishing enthusiast who strives to learn everything there is to learn about fishing. Addison, also an avid hunter and fisherman, loves everything outdoors and is super knowledgeable when it comes to hunting.  Addison and Crystal  also love making loaded teas and dirty sodas at Local Grounds Coffee Bar.

 

The family's commitment to and passion for contributing to their local community played a major role in the decision to build this store and expand the family business. When you visit the store, you will more than likely see one of them hard at work. They take pride in their products and customer service and look forward to meeting all your fishing and hunting needs.
